全日本礼和流空手道連盟 柳心舘
The name of our organisation is:
ZEN NIPPON REIWARYU KARATE-DO RENMEI – RYUSHINKAN
(HQ Yanagi Branch)
This official UK branch of Ryushinkan KarateDo is directly under our Japanese headquarters.
In the United Kingdom there are now 3 branches of our style. Tim Houghton Shihan was appointed Head of this branch in 2014 by Soke Ueno.
Tim believes that traditional KarateDo should not be watered down and puts emphasis on etiquette, kindness, respect, and hard physical training. In this modern and fast-paced world, there is a need to refine our methods of teaching in order to promote positive change and develop each student’s abilities to his or her maximum potential.
Karate, however, is a life-long art and the fundamental components of Karate practice should remain in place. This not only challenges the students both mentally and physically but it ensures that we strive to maintain the highest standards of our organisation.
